Support and privacy policy for Foldex, an unofficial fan-made reference app.
Foldex is an unofficial, fan-made reference app for Pokémon, designed around the two screens of iPhone Duo. It needs no account, shows no ads and collects no data.
For help, bug reports or questions, email saeed.safrini@outlook.com. Please say which iPhone and iOS version you use, and what you were doing when the problem happened.
The first launch is slow, or says it has no data. Foldex downloads the Pokémon index from the public PokéAPI the first time it opens, which takes about ten seconds on a good connection. It needs an internet connection for that first launch. After that it opens from its cache, with or without a connection.
Can I use it offline? Yes. In Settings, choose “Download everything” for an offline pack (about 20 MB, or about 150 MB with artwork).
How do I free up space or start fresh? In Settings, “Clear caches” removes downloaded data and images, and “Reset progress” clears your seen, caught and favourite marks. Deleting the app removes everything.
Where does the data come from? From the community-run PokéAPI and its public sprite repositories. Nothing from the rights holders is bundled in the app.
What does Foldex do with my data? Nothing leaves your device except the requests that download the data above. See the privacy policy.
