Plunkit for iPhone · Last updated 22 October 2026

The short version: Plunkit has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your trips, items and photos stay on your iPhone, and I never receive them.

Who I am

Plunkit is made by Saeed Safrini, an independent developer. In this policy, "I" and "me" mean Saeed Safrini. You can reach me at saeed.safrini@outlook.com.

What I collect

Nothing. Plunkit doesn't ask you to create an account, and the app doesn't send your packing data, photos, notes or location to me or to any server I run. I don't operate a server that stores your data, and Plunkit contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or other third-party code.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you create in Plunkit is saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone:

Plunkit doesn't sync with iCloud. Your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a backup to a computer) may include the app's data, depending on your device settings; that is handled by Apple, not by me. Deleting an item or trip in the app removes it, and deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone.

Camera and photos

On-device recognition and ideas

Recognizing an item, lifting it out of its background, and suggesting a name or companion items happen on your iPhone, using Apple's Vision framework and, on iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device model. Plunkit doesn't send your images, names or notes to a cloud model. Suggestions can be wrong, so check them before you rely on them.

Location (optional)

If you allow it, Plunkit asks for your approximate location once, while the app is open, to suggest a home country for plug and trip defaults. The coordinates are looked up through Apple Maps, which returns a country, and only that country is saved. Plunkit doesn't track your location in the background. You can say no, choose a country yourself, or change the permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Destination search and weather (Apple services)

When you give a trip a destination city, Plunkit uses Apple services to find the place and to fetch its forecast:

Plunkit doesn't include your photos, packing list, notes or the full trip title in these requests, and weather doesn't use your current location. Apple handles those requests under Apple's privacy policy. Weather data is provided by Apple Weather, and the app links to Apple's data sources page.

Motion and haptics

Plunkit reads your iPhone's motion sensors so packed items can move when you tilt or shake the phone. That data is used on the spot and never stored or sent anywhere. Haptics are local feedback and can be turned off in Settings.

Notifications

If you ask for a packing reminder and allow notifications, Plunkit schedules a local notification on your iPhone. It shows the trip name and how many items are left, never photos. Plunkit doesn't use remote push notifications.

Links to other sites

Some screens link to outside reference pages, such as plug and voltage guides or Apple's weather data sources. They open in your browser and are covered by those sites' own policies.

Reports from Apple

If you've turned on "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings, Apple may give me anonymous crash and usage statistics through App Store Connect. They don't identify you, and Plunkit adds nothing to them.

Children

Plunkit isn't directed at children, and because it collects no personal information, it doesn't collect any from children either.

Your choices and rights

Because I don't hold your data, there is nothing for me to export, correct or delete on your behalf. You are in control of everything on your iPhone: edit or delete items and trips in the app, remove unused images in Settings, change permissions in iOS Settings, or delete the app. If you have a question or a request, write to saeed.safrini@outlook.com.

Changes to this policy

If Plunkit's behavior changes in a way that affects your privacy, I'll update this page and its date before the change reaches you.
