An iPhone with iOS 27 or later. Scanning, packing, checklists, trips and plug checks work on every supported iPhone. Automatic item names and companion ideas use Apple Intelligence's on-device model, so they appear only on iPhones that support it and have it turned on. Everything else still works without it.

Recognition is a convenience, never a requirement. Tap the name to correct it, try again in good light with the item against a plain background, or import a photo instead. If the on-device model isn't available on your iPhone, just name the item yourself. When Plunkit can't lift an item out of its background, it keeps a crop or a category icon.

No. Camera captures are temporary, and the item images you keep stay in the app on your iPhone. Recognition happens on the device. The privacy policy lists every case where Plunkit talks to an Apple service, which is only destination search and weather.

Plunkit asks you to compare the plug and the INPUT label on your equipment with a sourced guide for 16 destinations: the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Australia, India, Brazil, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland and South Africa. Other countries can be selected but are marked as unverified.

The guide is a starting point, not a promise about every building, hotel or aircraft. A plug adapter doesn't convert voltage, so always check the label and the manufacturer's guidance before you connect anything.

Weather appears once a trip has a saved destination city. Plunkit suggests one from names like "Trip to Madrid", or you can search for it. You also need to be online, and the forecast only covers the upcoming days Apple Weather provides, so a trip that is still far away may not show one yet.

Plunkit has no accounts and no iCloud sync. Your trips and items live in the app on your iPhone, which means they come across when you restore from an iPhone backup or transfer directly from your old iPhone.

Delete trips and items inside the app, use Settings › Remove unused images to clear leftover pictures, or delete the app to remove everything it stores.
